Soil Health Specialist
About the Role
SelfCrops is looking for a Soil Health Specialist to lead soil testing operations, develop nutrient management plans, and promote sustainable soil health practices across our farmer network in Tirupati district. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct soil sampling, field testing, and laboratory analysis across enrolled farms • Develop farm-specific nutrient management plans and fertilizer recommendations • Promote biofertilizers, organic amendments, and soil health improvement practices • Build and maintain a soil health database across the farmer network • Collaborate with agronomists to integrate soil data into crop advisory • Prepare reports on soil organic carbon, soil moisture, and macronutrient trends
Requirements
• M.Sc Soil Science, Agriculture Chemistry, or related field • 2–5 years in soil health management, soil testing laboratory, or agronomy • Proficiency in laboratory soil analysis techniques (pH, EC, NPK, micronutrients) • Strong understanding of Andhra Pradesh soil types and crop-soil interactions • Experience with soil health card schemes (GOI) preferred
