Cloud Operations Manager
About the Role
NuSummit is seeking a Cloud Operations Manager to lead cloud governance, FinOps, and SRE team operations across enterprise client environments. Key Responsibilities: • Lead a team of cloud engineers and SREs managing multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure) • Define and drive cloud governance frameworks, policies, and compliance standards • Own FinOps initiatives — cloud cost visibility, optimization, and chargeback models • Establish SLOs, SLAs, and error budgets aligned to business requirements • Drive incident management, blameless post-mortems, and reliability improvements • Manage vendor relationships with AWS, Azure, and third-party tooling providers • Lead strategic cloud roadmap planning and present to senior stakeholders About NuSummit: NuSummit's cloud practice manages large-scale enterprise cloud infrastructure with a focus on reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience: • 7+ years in cloud infrastructure roles with 3+ years in management or leadership • Deep expertise in AWS and/or Azure cloud platforms • Hands-on SRE experience: SLOs, error budgets, incident management, automation • Strong FinOps knowledge — cloud cost governance and optimization frameworks • Experience with cloud governance tools and compliance frameworks (CIS, NIST, SOC2) • Excellent stakeholder communication and executive-level reporting skills • AWS Solutions Architect Professional or Azure Expert-level certification preferred
