App/Prod Support (Linux/SQL)
About the Role
NuSummit is hiring an Application/Production Support Engineer to maintain and troubleshoot enterprise applications on Linux and SQL environments. Key Responsibilities: • Provide 24/7 L2/L3 application and production support across Linux-based systems • Monitor application health, analyze server logs, and identify performance bottlenecks • Execute SQL queries for data analysis, issue diagnosis, and reporting • Write and maintain shell scripts for automation, scheduling, and health checks • Raise, track, and resolve incidents per ITIL processes within SLA timelines • Collaborate with development teams to escalate and resolve complex issues • Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and knowledge base articles About NuSummit: NuSummit's managed services team provides round-the-clock application support to enterprise clients across BFSI, healthcare, and logistics.
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience: • 2+ years experience in application or production support roles • Strong Linux administration skills (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) • SQL proficiency for query writing, data extraction, and troubleshooting • Shell scripting (Bash) for task automation • ITIL Foundation certification or knowledge of ITIL incident management • Experience with monitoring tools: Nagios, Splunk, AppDynamics, or similar • Good communication skills for client interaction and escalation management
