Agricultural Sales Person (Field)
About the Role
SelfCrops is hiring energetic and farmer-friendly Agricultural Sales Persons to sell agri-inputs — seeds, fertilizers, bio-pesticides, irrigation kits, and farm advisory services — directly to farmers in villages around Tirupati. This is a field-first role. You will spend most of your day visiting farmers at their farms and homes — not sitting in an office. If you love agriculture, love talking to farmers, and are motivated by building relationships and meeting targets, this role is for you. Key Responsibilities: • Visit 15–20 farmers per day in assigned village routes (beats) • Explain and demonstrate product benefits — seeds varieties, fertilizer schedules, crop protection options • Generate leads through word-of-mouth referrals, farmer groups, and village meetings • Achieve weekly and monthly sales targets for SelfCrops products • Collect payments and coordinate order delivery with logistics team • Report daily activities, sales made, and farmer feedback via mobile app • Participate in kisan melas, field demonstrations, and crop days organised by SelfCrops • Maintain a clean record of customer contacts and purchase history
Requirements
• Minimum 12th pass; B.Sc Agriculture preferred but not mandatory • 0–2 years of experience — freshers from agriculture background welcome • Strong communication skills in Telugu — ability to connect naturally with farmers • Own a two-wheeler and valid driving licence (mandatory for field travel) • Genuine interest in agriculture and farmer welfare • Result-oriented and self-motivated to meet targets
